This is my 25th year working in Seattle Public Schools and my 10th year here at Ingraham. I taught Spanish for many years and now work to provide academic support for students and am the 504 Coordinator. I am also one of Ingraham’s Link Crew Coordinators. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and going on walks with our 3 rescue dogs.
Education: University of Wyoming, B.A. Secondary Science Education; University of Utah, Master of Legal Studies
How I Got Into Education: My wife convinced me to take an education class in college when I couldn’t decide on a new major. I had to teach a lesson at a middle school for the class. When a student finally understood mitosis after teaching him one-on-one, that light bulb moment for him turned into a passion for me.
Hobbies: I like exploring the outdoors with my wife and two boys. I am also interested in mycology and would like to be more involved in mushroom foraging. I like to bake bread, ferment food, and learn about self-sufficiency. I also love basketball, reading, watching television, and playing Nintendo Switch.
