Parents/Guardians: If your student is withdrawing from Ingraham this school year, it is important to let us know! Please notify the district online in less than 3 minutes if your student will not attend Ingraham.
Pre-Planned Absence Forms
If your student will be missing two or more days of school, please remember to submit a Pre-Planned Absence Form. Common examples of pre-planned absences include family vacations, surgery or medical procedures, family events, and non-district athletic competitions. Providing the form in advance helps students and teachers plan for missed instruction and assignments.
Forms are available in the Attendance Office or online on the Ingraham Attendance page.
Completed forms must be turned in at least three school days before the first day of the planned absence. Thank you for helping us support strong, consistent attendance!
Academic Planners for Students 2026-27
No need to purchase an academic planner this summer. Ingraham will be supplying all students with a 2026-2027 planner! We hope that this will help set students up for success
Student Laptop & Charger Returns
Seniors will turn in their laptops at senior checkout on June 8th. Grades 10-11 will turn in their laptops on Monday, 6/15, and grade 9 on Tuesday, 6/16. Students need to turn in their charger with their laptop or a fine will be placed on their account. If your student is not here the last week of school, please have them turn in their laptop to the library before their last day.
SPS does not support students keeping devices over the summer. Students attending summer school will receive a laptop at the start of the program. If a student does keep their laptop over the summer, it will convert to a “fine” over the summer. Students should return the laptop in the fall to remove the fine and get an updated laptop.
Summer Reading Challenge
Read books over the summer and get prizes in the fall! Students can pick up their summer reading challenge in the library.
Student Parking Pass Return
This is a reminder to turn in your parking pass by your last day of classes at Mx. Julia’s office in room 65. If you have lost your parking pass, please pay the lost fee of $25 at the Fiscal Office in Room 165.
Parents of current Sophomores and Juniors: Prepare now for the fall PSAT and SAT!!
Traditionally, Seattle Public Schools have offered the SAT (to seniors) and the PSAT (to juniors) each October at no cost to students/families. All juniors and all seniors have been automatically registered for these exams. We are planning with the expectation that these exams will continue to be offered. While testing will have to take place in October, it is unlikely that student scores will be ready by November 1st. If your senior is contemplating Early Action or Early Decision for their university application process, please do not rely on our School Day SAT. Please plan accordingly.
Does your student need accommodations on either of these exams? Testing accommodations in a student’s IEP or 504 Plan Do Not automatically transfer to College Board assessments like the SAT or PSAT. If your student had accommodations on the PSAT or an AP exam, they are good to go for the SAT. However, if accommodations are still needed, they must be requested 7 weeks prior to the exam, and that falls before school starts in the fall. To ensure that your student has access to accommodations, now that school is out, I encourage you to request accommodations on your own. Find those instructions.

Bright Futures: Purchasing items from our Donation Closet Wishlist
We are a student support program led by a committee of Ingraham staff and parent volunteers who work together to directly help over 200 Ingraham students experiencing food and housing insecurity. One of the ways we offer support is by providing a special space in the school, called the Pride Closet. This is a safe, judgement-free room where our students in need can pick up essentials like clothing & shoes, backpacks & school supplies, warm coats & gloves, and a variety of toiletries. Many items are running low. We wonder if you would consider purchasing one of these much-needed items from our Amazon wishlist? You can select direct delivery to the Counseling office at Ingraham. Thank you, Ramily, for showing up for our most vulnerable students. It takes a village!
If you would like to learn more about the Bright Futures program, and about how you can get involved, please visit our website, or reach out to Michele Fowler at foibrightfutures@gmail.com.

School Communication
Ingraham uses various methods to communicate information out to students and families:
- Students, please start checking your SPS email inbox daily for information from school and read the Friday bulletins.
- Schoology pages
- Talking Points: A text-based system that sends translated messages to your phone.
- Principal Newsletter: A personal message from Principal Zack Elvig, sent on Mondays.
- Friday Bulletins: We email the school bulletin weekly via a system called School Messenger. It is always updated on the Ingraham website. Occasionally, we hear from parents/guardians who say they are not receiving the bulletin or have suddenly stopped receiving them. It is usually an email filter issue, or you have inadvertently unsubscribed. Please manage your SPS communication preferences
