THANK YOU from the Bright Futures Team
Wow Ram-ily, what a night!
Last Thursday was an evening I won’t soon forget. It was more than a fundraiser – it was an evening of community, connection, inspiration, and generosity…at a time in the world when many of us really needed to feel that. The stories that were shared were so powerful and reminded us of all of what community can do. Not only did we exceed our fundraising goal, I think we all left with a feeling of gratitude, and that our presence and contributions can have a significant impact right here in the halls of Ingraham. This vital program, assisting more than 200 Ingraham students who struggle with food and housing insecurity, will continue to thrive because of YOU! The whole Bright Futures team thanks you for your amazing support.
If you missed the event and would like to learn more about our program, please visit our website to see what we do.
In the spirit of ongoing support, we wonder if you would consider an easy and occasional 1 hour shift on a Thursday afternoon. We need drivers to pick up our Food Bank order (for our weekend food support program) and drop off to the school where students will meet you in the parking lot and do the unloading for you! This is an easy and non-committal way to get involved. Find a Thursday afternoon that works for you by visiting our sign-up page here.
Please reach out to foibrightfutures@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to get involved with Bright Futures.
With gratitude,
Michele Fowler, Bright Futures Chair
Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Form
We are asking all families to complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) form. This form helps our school access important funding that supports students, like additional staff, academic support, and resources for classrooms. It only takes a few minutes, and it makes a real difference.
Even if your family does not qualify for benefits, the digital form has an option to indicate that. Submitting the form—whether you qualify or not—still helps our school. Each form helps make sure we get as much complete data as possible to ensure maximum funding for our students. You can fill out the form online at MySchoolApps using a phone or computer. The form is available in multiple languages, and paper versions are also available in the main office if you are unable to complete a digital form.
Thank you for taking a moment to complete this. We appreciate your partnership in helping our school and ensuring our students have the resources they need.

10th grade families: SBA English Language Arts testing April 2-7.
The state mandated Smarter Balanced Assessment in English Language Arts will take place in 10th grade LA classes.
The 10th grade Smarter Balanced Assessments are a state-required assessment that serves as one possible pathway to meeting your student’s Language Arts graduation requirements. 10th grade students will be taking the English Language Arts SBA in their 10th grade Language Arts classes April 2-7. Make-up and test completion will take place April 8-10 (before we leave for Spring Break).

Ingraham Graduation Ceremony – Save the Date!
Prior to Winter Break, the district announced graduation dates for SPS high schools. Ingraham’s graduation ceremony will be on June 10 at 4:30 p.m., at the Ingraham Stadium (also known as the Northwest Athletic Complex).
Due to stadium capacity, each senior will receive four tickets for family/friends to attend graduation inside the stadium. Tickets will be distributed at Senior Checkout on June 8. There are no additional tickets available, and the school is not able to manage unused tickets after they are dispersed.
Please do not call the school to request more tickets. There is an overflow area just outside the fence on the north end of the field, where non-ticketed guests can view the ceremony, which usually runs about sixty minutes. The ceremony will be live streamed on YouTube for those who are unable to attend. That link will be provided on the Ingraham website a day or two before the ceremony. More information to come later this Spring, so stay tuned!
Library News
Library sign in is going to digital! The library is transitioning from a paper sign in to a digital sign in. Students will sign in on a computer on the front library desk and put their pass on a bowl. This will make it easier for staff to track who is in the library and the numbers will help show how our students use and love the library.
To see what has been going on the library, check out our latest newsletter!
Flu and Covid Vaccines Available
Flu season is here. Luckily, students can get flu and Covid shots in the Teen Health Center! Appointments are free of cost. Stop by the Teen Health Center next to the Counseling office to get signed up so you can stay well this winter.
College Representative Visits
Students! One of the more important opportunities available every fall are the College Admissions Rep visits to Ingraham High School. College Admissions Representatives from campuses across the state and country are scheduled to visit IHS and meet with interested students in grades 9-12 (students only). We already have several visitors on the schedule, and they are very excited to meet you. This is one of the few opportunities available to meet the person who may be reading your college application, ask questions about the campus, and gather helpful information to use during your college research and the admission/application process. These visits are especially helpful for seniors who are about to begin the college application process.
Students are required to sign-up to attend these sessions and do so via their Naviance/High School and Beyond Plan accounts.
To sign-up: Please log in to your Clever account
- Select Naviance
- Select Colleges, then college visits
- Select View Details and register for the college you want to attend!
Then write down the visit on your planner or personal calendar. On the date and time of the visit, come down to the library and meet the representative! You are welcome to stay for a portion of the visit or the entire visit before heading back to class.
Please continue checking the visit section as new college visits are added.
Parents: Visit the Ingraham website under Resources for information College Visits

After School Tutoring in the Library
Tutoring is in the Ingraham library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45–4:45 p.m. and is open to all Ingraham students.
Student Drop-off and Parking on Campus
Parents: Please do not drop off your students on N. 135th St, as that is reserved for district transportation only. Student drop-off is in the NE Visitor Parking lot.
Students: It is required that all students complete a vehicle registration form and obtain a free parking pass from the main office if they plan on parking on campus. The process of obtaining a parking pass will be announced soon, so stay tuned. A valid driver license must be shown when obtaining the parking pass. Student parking is in the lot off Meridian and the south section of the south parking lot next to the fields. Staff/Visitor parking is next to the auditorium/upper gym entrance, as well as in the south parking lot near the tennis courts. Do not park in the Helene Madison parking lot. Cars may be ticketed and/or towed if you are illegally parked in a accessible parking spot (without the appropriate parking permit) or in a fire lane (yellow or red curbs).
School Communication
Ingraham uses various methods to communicate information out to students and families:
- Students, please start checking your SPS email inbox daily for information from school and read the Friday bulletins.
- Schoology pages
- Talking Points: A text-based system that sends translated messages to your phone.
- Principal Newsletter: A personal message from Principal Zack Elvig, sent on Mondays.
- Friday Bulletins: We email the school bulletin weekly via a system called School Messenger. It is always updated on the Ingraham website. Occasionally, we hear from parents/guardians who say they are not receiving the bulletin or have suddenly stopped receiving them. It is usually an email filter issue, or you have inadvertently unsubscribed. Please manage your SPS communication preferences
