All library books are due back at the library, and students can check out books for the summer. Students, parents, and guardians received an email on Friday listing what books are due back, including books borrowed from middle and elementary schools. These books can be returned in Ingraham. Paying for lost books can be done through the Source, or our fiscal office. We have waivers available for students for whom it would be difficult to pay. Contact Ms. Trufan with questions.

Book Bingo – Read books for the different categories and get prizes in the fall! Students can complete our Ingraham book bingo, and/or the Seattle Public Library teen bingo for prizes. Prizes include gift cards, candy, and more!

Ram Reads – summer reading suggestions for rising 8th – 11th graders. All are optional, the list is suggestions if your student isn’t sure what to read this summer.

Parents of Sophomores and Juniors:  Prepare now for the fall PSAT and SAT!

This October the district will be offering the PSAT to all juniors and the SAT to all seniors at no cost to students or families.  The specific date (or dates) for these exams is yet to be determined but will be shared as soon as possible.  A warning to families planning to apply to universities using Early Action or Early decision – our school test date may not land early enough to meet a November 1st application deadline, so please plan accordingly.

Does your student need accommodations on either of these exams?  Testing accommodations in a student’s IEP or 504 Do Not automatically transfer to College Board assessments like the SAT or PSAT.  If your student had accommodations on the PSAT they are good to go for the SAT.  However, if accommodations are still needed, they must be requested at least 7 weeks in advance of the exam, and that lands in the middle of our summer when there isn’t anyone available to input the request.  Check in with Ms. Luthe or your student’s IEP case manager before school ends to make sure that your student has the accommodations they need.  Jennifer Luthe jlluthe@seattleschools.org.

The final sales window for yearbooks will be May 20th – June 18thPay for your yearbook online on SchoolPay or at the Fiscal Office, Room 165. The cost is $65. Pick up yearbooks in Room 205 during lunch.

School Communication

Ingraham uses various methods to communicate information out to students and families:

  • Students, please start checking your SPS email inbox daily for information from school.
  • Schoology pages
  • School Bulletins:  We email the school bulletin weekly via a system called School Messenger.  Occasionally, we hear from parents/guardians who say they are not receiving the bulletin or have suddenly stopped receiving them.  It is usually an email filter issue, or you have inadvertently unsubscribed.  Manage your communication preferences on School Messenger.
