Ingraham Weekly Bulletin

Summary : The weekly bulletin is distributed by email on Friday afternoons, and posted on the Ingraham website.

Weekly Bulletin – December 19, 2025

Attendance Office:  Please email ingrahamhs.attendance@seattleschools.org

Parents/Guardians:  If your student is withdrawing from Ingraham this school year, it is important to let us know!  Please email our Registrar, Toni Morgan at tmmorgan@seattleschools.org

If you have moved, it is important to let us, and the district know by completing a Change of Address form

Pre-Planned Absence Forms

If your student will be missing two or more days of school, please remember to submit a Pre-Planned Absence Form. Common examples of pre-planned absences include family vacations, surgery or medical procedures, family events, and non-district athletic competitions. Providing the form in advance helps students and teachers plan for missed instruction and assignments.
Forms are available in the Attendance Office or online on the Ingraham Attendance page

Completed forms must be turned in at least three school days before the first day of the planned absence. Thank you for helping us support strong, consistent attendance!

How YOU CAN HELP Ingraham families as we head into the holiday break

Did you know that over 200 Ingraham students are food and/or housing insecure? Bright Futures is a student support program made up of Ingraham staff and parent volunteers who work together to streamline resources to our most vulnerable students, so that they can equitably access their education and inclusively participate in the Ingraham community.

This is the week we spend almost 20% of our annual $50,000 budget on grocery gift cards for our food insecure families, because we know that these students will be without their regular food source of school breakfasts and lunches. Please consider a donation to our annual fund to help cover this cost and to help this essential program continue to run.

Looking for additional ways to help?

Sign up for a food bank delivery shift on a Thursday afternoon in the new year, or purchase an item from our warm winter clothing drive.

There are so many ways to help. It takes a village, and the RAMily never ceases to amaze us with their ongoing generosity.

Wishing you all a warm and happy holiday!

Michele Fowler, Bright Futures Chair

Thank you to FOI from Ingraham Staff!

Thanks to all who generously donated cookies for Ingraham staff on Wednesday, and to our wonderful FOI volunteers who made it happen: Laura Riley, Alice Mason, Flora Aviles, and Anne Running. Much joy was spread during a week that has been so rainy and gray. We appreciate all you do for our staff.

College Representative Visits

Students!  One of the more important opportunities available every fall are the College Admissions Rep visits to Ingraham High School. College Admissions Representatives from campuses across the state and country are scheduled to visit IHS and meet with interested students in grades 9-12 (students only). We already have several visitors on the schedule, and they are very excited to meet you. This is one of the few opportunities available to meet the person who may be reading your college application, ask questions about the campus, and gather helpful information to use during your college research and the admission/application process. These visits are especially helpful for seniors who are about to begin the college application process.

Students are required to sign-up to attend these sessions and do so via their Naviance/High School and Beyond Plan accounts.

To sign-up: Please log in to your Clever account

  • Click on Naviance
  • Click on Colleges, then college visits
  • Click on View Details and register for the college you want to attend!

Then write down the visit on your planner or personal calendar. On the date and time of the visit, come down to the library and meet the representative!  You are welcome to stay for a portion of the visit or the entire visit before heading back to class.

Please continue checking the visit section as new college visits are added.

Parents: Visit the Ingraham website under Resources for information College Visits

Tutoring is in the Ingraham library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45–4:45 p.m. and is open to all Ingraham students.

Student Drop-off and Parking on Campus

Parents: Please do not drop off your students on N. 135th St, as that is reserved for district transportation only.  Student drop-off is in the NE Visitor Parking lot.

Students: It is required that all students complete a vehicle registration form and obtain a free parking pass from the main office if they plan on parking on campus.  The process of obtaining a parking pass will be announced soon, so stay tuned.  A valid driver license must be shown when obtaining the parking pass. Student parking is in the lot off Meridian and the south section of the south parking lot next to the fields.  Staff/Visitor parking is next to the auditorium/upper gym entrance, as well as in the south parking lot near the tennis courts.  Do not park in the Helene Madison parking lot.  Cars may be ticketed and/or towed if you are illegally parked in a accessible parking spot (without the appropriate parking permit) or in a fire lane (yellow or red curbs).

School Communication

Ingraham uses various methods to communicate information out to students and families:

  • Students, please start checking your SPS email inbox daily for information from school and read the Friday bulletins.
  • Schoology pages
  • Talking Points: A text-based system that sends translated messages to your phone.
  • Principal Newsletter: A personal message from Principal Zack Elvig, sent on Mondays.
  • Friday Bulletins:  We email the school bulletin weekly via a system called School Messenger. It is always updated on the Ingraham website. Occasionally, we hear from parents/guardians who say they are not receiving the bulletin or have suddenly stopped receiving them.  It is usually an email filter issue, or you have inadvertently unsubscribed.  Please manage your SPS communication preferences
