Parents/Guardians: If your student is withdrawing from Ingraham this school year, it is important to let us know! Please notify the district online in less than 3 minutes if your student will not attend Ingraham.
Pre-Planned Absence Forms
If your student will be missing two or more days of school, please remember to submit a Pre-Planned Absence Form. Common examples of pre-planned absences include family vacations, surgery or medical procedures, family events, and non-district athletic competitions. Providing the form in advance helps students and teachers plan for missed instruction and assignments.
Forms are available in the Attendance Office or online on the Ingraham Attendance page.
Completed forms must be turned in at least three school days before the first day of the planned absence. Thank you for helping us support strong, consistent attendance!
Ingraham High School Campus Day 6/5
Ingraham’s annual campus day returns on Friday, June 5! Campus day is an end of year event where Clubs and Sports can fundraise, and students can support! Clubs and Sports sell food, merch, and other items for ticket amounts. Each ticket equals $1. Many items are sold for 2-3 tickets, but some bigger items are 7-10. We suggest purchasing 10-20 tickets! 10 tickets can get a full meal, and 20 tickets is a fun shopping day out.
Tickets are being sold in $10 (10 tickets) amounts on SchoolPay, in person at the fiscal office and in front of the AC during lunch. On Campus Day, tickets will be sold in smaller increments. Ticket sales are from 5/27 until the morning of 6/5.
Student Laptop Returns
Seniors will turn in their laptops at senior checkout on June 8. Grades 9-11 will turn in their laptops on Monday, 6/15 and Tuesday, 6/16. If your students will not be here the last week of school, please remind them to turn it in early. Thanks!
Parents of current Sophomores and Juniors: Prepare now for the fall PSAT and SAT!!
Traditionally, Seattle Public Schools has offered the SAT (to seniors) and the PSAT (to juniors) each October at no cost to students/families. All juniors and all seniors have been automatically registered for these exams. We have not yet received confirmation that SPS will offer these assessments in October 2026, but we are planning with the hope that these exams will continue to be offered. While testing will have to take place in October, it is unlikely that student scores will be ready by November 1. If your senior is contemplating Early Action or Early Decision for their university application process, please do not rely on our School Day SAT. Please plan accordingly.
Does your student need accommodations for either of these exams? Testing accommodations in a student’s IEP or 504 Plan Do Not automatically transfer to College Board assessments like the SAT or PSAT. If your student had accommodations on the PSAT or an AP exam, they are good to go for the SAT. However, if accommodations are still needed, they must be requested at least 7 weeks in advance of the exam, and that lands in the middle of our summer break when there isn’t anyone available to input the request. Check in with Ms. Luthe or your student’s IEP case manager before school ends to make sure that your student has the accommodations they need. Jennifer Luthe jlluthe@seattleschools.org.

Bright Futures: Purchasing items from our Donation Closet Wishlist
We are a student support program led by a committee of Ingraham staff and parent volunteers who work together to directly help over 200 Ingraham students experiencing food and housing insecurity. One of the ways we offer support is by providing a special space in the school, called the Pride Closet. This is a safe, judgement-free room where our students in need can pick up essentials like clothing & shoes, backpacks & school supplies, warm coats & gloves, and a variety of toiletries. Many items are running low. We wonder if you would consider purchasing one of these much-needed items from our Amazon wishlist? You can select direct delivery to the Counseling office at Ingraham. Thank you, Ramily, for showing up for our most vulnerable students. It takes a village!
If you would like to learn more about the Bright Futures program, and about how you can get involved, please visit our website, or reach out to Michele Fowler at foibrightfutures@gmail.com.

School Communication
Ingraham uses various methods to communicate information out to students and families:
- Students, please start checking your SPS email inbox daily for information from school and read the Friday bulletins.
- Schoology pages
- Talking Points: A text-based system that sends translated messages to your phone.
- Principal Newsletter: A personal message from Principal Zack Elvig, sent on Mondays.
- Friday Bulletins: We email the school bulletin weekly via a system called School Messenger. It is always updated on the Ingraham website. Occasionally, we hear from parents/guardians who say they are not receiving the bulletin or have suddenly stopped receiving them. It is usually an email filter issue, or you have inadvertently unsubscribed. Please manage your SPS communication preferences
