Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) – Save on Tuition!
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among WICHE’s 16 members, through which 160+ participating public colleges and universities provide steep nonresident tuition savings for Western students. Full list of participating WUE schools!
- Through WUE, eligible students can choose from hundreds of undergraduate programs outside their home state and pay no more than 150 percent of that institution’s resident tuition rate.
- Since full nonresident college-tuition rates may exceed 300 percent of resident rates, WUE increases affordable higher- education choices for students, and minimizes the adverse impacts of student loan debt.
- College Board’s Net Price Calculator: All colleges are required to have a NPC on their website (usually on fin aid page), but the College Board has a NPC that uses the same methodology that many colleges use so families can input their information and get estimates from many colleges. CB lists the colleges (under participating schools) that use this particular methodology. If a student has a CB account (from taking SAT), they can save the data and return to it. It is only an estimate (!) not a guarantee. Consider it a starting point.
